Almanac Realty Investors Names Andrew Silberstein Partner

Almanac Realty Investors, a leading provider of growth capital to public and private real estate companies, announced today that Andrew M. Silberstein has been named partner.

Silberstein, 44, joined Almanac in 2009 as a Managing Director and has been responsible for the origination, structuring and management of several of the firm's recent investments. During this time, he has led the firm's investments in RXR Realty, Welsh Property Trust, and Westcore Properties, which total $485 million to date. He currently serves as a director of each of those three firms.

"Since joining Almanac three years ago, Andrew has more than surpassed our expectations as an investor, deal maker, investment committee member and board member," said Matthew Kaplan, Managing Partner of Almanac. "He's become an integral part of Almanac and it is with great satisfaction that he has become our partner."

Before coming to Almanac, Silberstein served as the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Stoltz Real Estate, from 2004 through 2008. During the same period, he established his own firm, AMS Real Estate Partners. From 1994 through 2004, Silberstein worked in real estate investment banking and private equity, first at Bear Stearns and then Morgan Stanley. He has been a member of NAREIT, ULI, ICSC and the Real Estate Roundtable.

Silberstein graduated from Yale University in 1989 and received an M.B.A. in 1995 from New York University Stern School of Business, where he was a Glucksman Fellow. He lives in Westchester County with his wife and three children.
